Canopies, Vevnilation Systems & Fresh Air Input including air conditioning
A kitchen ventilation system incorporating extract and supply air is not an optional extra any more, but a legal requirement.
It is now a requirement to comply with BS-6173 to have the gas supply interlocked with both the extract and supply air systems. This automatically provides a safety cut off system .All canopies and ventilation are fully compliant with DW 712.
There are 2 main types of kitchen ventilation, canopy or ventilated ceiling.
These systems can be designed and built to almost any requirement, incorporating fresh air in put as necessary. Condense canopies and filter plenums can be altered and extended on site to incorporate changes that are made to the catering equipment layout.
